I would just like to say… uh… uhm… thanks for being the definitive track for my age 14. Wait… I think I was 14.
Ok. So I can’t remember what year you defined.
BUT YOU DID A RAD JOB OF IT.
Kudos and much love.

I really like your music… I wish I was as good as you at recording stuff in my room. All of my synth stuff just sounds crap, as if I have stolen it from Mindless Self Indulgence. The Pixies rock.

Wow! I just realised that you are of a Marxist leaning. The Socialist Realist writers of the early Soviet Union history were brilliant, and Trotsky was da’ man.

Jyoti, I sent you mail a couple months ago. I try to find someone from EMI who have to help me with copyright, I mean song Your woman. But it’s difficult to do this, when you live in Russia. May be you should help me. I’m ready to send you MP3. It’s a cover version. Your homepage’s under construction and I can’t find your mail address.

Good to finally see a musician dedicated to their music, not their money! Wonderful site, I’ll be back!

hello there jyoti. Like everybody else who signs the guestbook, i bought women in technology when i was about 13. im about to turn 20, and your music still has an impact on me. the guitarist in my band recently came to me with an idea to cover your women at one of our shows and being that our singer is female, i think its a fascinating idea. My father is also an admirer of yours too. As a matter of fact, my dad actually was the one who told me about you in the first place. anyways, enough babbling. i just thought you would like to know that “your women” still holds true after all these years

GREETINGS FROM BOSNIA….

I was reading the FAQ about asking if you are gay, and you said that human beings are just sexual, and I couldn’t agree more. But I’d like to point out if we are to ascribe ourselves to any sexuality, it should be Bi-sexual! That’s just twice the sex! YAY!
but of course, that just reiterates the idea that we are just sexual beings in general.
But saying the words “It’s twice the sex” is a lot of fun anyways.

um.
outta curiosity, how sick are you of hearing the words “your woman”?
April 10th, 2004 at 12:00 am
hi…i bought women in technology years ago since i heard the ‘your women’ played by radio stations. it was a really really great song. even now i still play in sometimes in my mp3 player. i must say you must have done a great job. i hope to hear more songs sounded like ‘your women’. but i must say, other than ‘your women’ song, the rest were not as good as ‘your women’. but i really admire your perspective on music itself. all the best.

So how come evolution meant that we ended up with our trachea RIGHT next to our oesophagus? Am I the only person that thinks that having an essential, life-supporting tube that inhales air RIGHT next to a tube that gobbles up food is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS? If the opening of the oesophagus was on your navel, then there would be NO chance of choking occurring. Why put them right next to one another huh? DESIGN FAUX-PAS.

I really love “Your Woman”. As an English Teacher, I play it to my pupils to teach them some expressions such as “why did you play me that way”, or “I’ll find out”, or “She said she never liked you from the start”. It is always a sheer delight to see how they quickly memorize the lyrics, because the song is really pleasant!
Nice website too, I was amazed to discover that “White Town” was in fact onen and only one artist! I loved the story about performing in front of Skinheads :-))) It must have been a terrible time !!!
