Hi, Jyoti;
I’ve been enjoying your music for almost ten years here in the States. I’m originally from Montana, but have lived in Seattle since 2001. I hope your Summer is going well and that you’re having a great life! Congratulations on being married; that’s very good to read about.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Jeph
PS What’s this I read about an ep? Hmmm……gotta go find that, I suspect…….

Hi Jyoti,
I’ve arrived here, as a lot of people does, via “white woman”.
I bought the EP and I enjoyed it. Tonight I’m picking a fed CDs for my holydays and I’ve meet it again.
I’m curious about your actual sound, do you have a myspace site?
I practice home recording and I find it very interesting to show my songs.
Regards from Madrid, Spain

Well, I started off hearing your song on a MySpace pg and I LOVE THIS SONG! But hadn’t heard it since the age of 11…and then I felt like it had another meaning than just that. Surprisingly, the gay guy theory didn’t cross my mind…so I looked you up. I love double-triple-quaduple meanings. I’ve honestly spent 3 days LEARNING off your page…I’m not nosey, just thirsty for knowledge. The Bonobo info was SO weird and interesting…but I have a problem. I tried REALLY hard to research the Marxist theory or movement to see how it tied into the song but I just can’t find the right website(you know…simply worded). Would you have a link?

hi
i have to say, first time i heard Your Woman, i was 12 years old. didnt really understand what the meaning of your song was then, i thought you were just having a bit of fun. but i guess you would have been doing that anyway ^_^
i’ve listened to it lately, was on a TV music show in australia a few weeks ago. im like omg i really liked that song, but i never really understood it.
i’ve been listening to it a lot lately, the lyrics kinda remind me of a relationship i had when i was 18, i knew it would never work out but i fell in love and ended up very heartbroken.
i thought i’d a little searching on google about it, i was a little disappointed at what one critics had to say about the song. but then whats a critic? they usually aren’t all that talented enough to make music for everyone to enjoy.
anyhow cool website, i didnt think you had done it ^_^

G’day, i’m from Australia and your song Your Woman is very special to my wife and I. we were teenagers in love and this became our song. since then your song pretty much has become our life story and because of my actions she may never be my woman again. anyway i wanted to say thankyou for a great soundtrack to my life. i was also wondering if you’d think about writing another song with a similar beat and write some lyrics that allow the couple to sort out there problems or resolve some issues that the man caused. i’m sure it will be a hit and could be adopted to my life for the next 9 years. and will you come to western australia anytime?

hey
was wondering what you’d been up to after all these years out of the charts, stumbled upon your website through Google - very interesting reading!
ha ha ha, the lyrics to ‘your woman’ I always assumed to be literal with regards to your own orientation - hence my amusement to discover you are married. that’ll teach me to take things quite so literally!
good luck for the future mate

i cant say much more than thanks to your frustrations and inovavations others are able to gain, me being one of those… thanks

Jyoti,
It was nice to finally find out who wrote that song where “there’s this guy singing about a dude”
(and no, I don’t mean that in a shallow, passive way). I have to say, though, that looking further I really found your insight into major label hijinks interesting. Some of what you say in those interviews is both intentionally and unintentionally hilarious, too! It parallels so much of what I’ve heard.

Thank you! Your song just saved me from cheating on me girlfriend!!
Btw.. are you still politically to the left?? (I hope so!)

I just want to say that Women in Technology is one of my favourite albums - a true desert island disk. Stuff anyone who says it’s rubbish, each song is beautiful. Going Nowhere Somehow makes me cry every time.
Never knew you had so many other records out. I’m gonna go buy some
Best wishes

Hey, ran across this page today, interesting story behind one of my favorite songs. Always wondered what happened to you.
Anyways, I’m a bootleg/mashup dj/artist and I just finished a track using “Your Woman”. I mixed it with Missy Elliott’s “Work It”, and it came out pretty nice. Thought you may possibly get a kick out of it yourself.
You can check it out here : http://www.djshift1.com (scroll to middle of page, left side)
Love your stuff…looking foreward to new album!

So I just heard a sample of your infamous track “Your Woman” on VH1’s Top 100 Kid Stars. It is BY FAR one of my ALL TIME fav songs and always will be. I don’t know anything else from you, so I’m getting ready to go on the web to check you out (don’t worry - no free downloads. I support the music industry!) Anyway, I just wanted to tell you how great the song is!

Hey there, me again. I searched for a better quality video of the “Your Woman” song and after many hours of searching I found one! I’ve uploaded it at YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoAS1cvQzwI
Strangely the sound quality has gone down a fair bit, as much as the video quality, although it seems a little lighter than the other one, if anyone wants to send me the original and better quality copy to them (If Jyoti is OK with this) I can do, and send a request to: veedub_rado@hotmail.com .
Thanks.
