Great site, first time writer:
How come more of your music is not available on itunes? I’d love to get a hold of some of your b-sides and hard to find tracks. Also, why is “Undressed” not included on your discography?
Thanks,
Will

Dear Jyoti,
I am the programme controller/ presenter on a community radio station in Derby called Derwent FM, due to start broadcasting on 26th Feb (until 25th March, frequency to be confirmed but probably 87.9fm.).
I am enquiring about the possibility of an interview, either by telephone link or in person, on one of my shows (currently likely to be tuesdays and thursdays 4-6pm.) The main focus of the interview would be to catch up with your projects and maybe have a chat about the current Derby music scene, which I know you are a big supporter of.
Check out the website link if you wish to find out more about Derwent FM, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello, again! No ~ Not you: It’s ROYKSOPP. But take it as a compliment, anyway.. Here’s the advert in case you’re interested, currently running in the ‘States. Every time I hear it, I have to grab my “Women in Technology” CD for the ride to work!

Howdy, Jyoti! Happy New Year!
I have a nagging question: I saw for the 1st time a few weeks ago a GEICO (insurance) Advert here in the states, where there’s a caveman on a motor-walk in an Airport - and the FIRST thing I heard was the background Music.. I thought “WHITE TOWN!” - is that jingle you???
many blessings ~ Mick from Philadelphia.
EDIT - Nope! Unless Universal licensed some of my old music? But I’ve heard nothing from them… hmmm..

Hello.
I think this seems the only way to contact you.
Anyway, I’ve loved your music for years and haven’t stop listening to the 7″ on Heavenly Pop Hits over the last few months. Really looking forward to the new album.
I help run a small indiepop club in London and also promote gigs - have a look at the website. Could you drop me an email, I’d love to put on a gig sometime.
Thanks
Ian.

hey, just wanted to say that I remember watching a tv program years ago when you were talking about making electronic music and standing in Turnkey on Tottenham court rd I think. You actually inspired me to buy some kit and start recording, so thanks…

hey, been listening to the new cd via cdbaby. I like it. I can hear a lot of morrisey in it, as well as some supercool 80s synthpop stuff.
Here’s my question. I saw on IMDB that there’s a film called “I Could Never Be Your Woman” in production for 2007. Do you have anything to do with that?
t looks like its being written by Amy Heckerling, who did Clueless and Fast Times At Ridgemont High, so there’s little doubt that the inspiration for the title at least came from your track– she’s hip.
Anyway, I hope you’re successful for with your current efforts and I also hope that movie doesn’t suck.

Hey Mr. jyoti - I hear (read) that you actually didn’t listen to the Tyler James vertion of “Your Woman”. It´s that truth? Well, if that is so, Here’s the link to download the song (less money for him, guess that is not good or bad for you):

Another thing, congratulations for your new album, Hope can buy it someday, cause I live in México and a lot of great albums never make it to here.
Last, but…etc., I have a Blog, and the “back-sound” is of course Your Woman by White Town. This Blog is mainly dedicated to share music with people, for free. Don’t worry, I’m not gonna put your new album there, or any of your albums, because I really like your music. Actually “Your woman” is very difficult to get in the ciberspace; well, this happen with really good songs.
By the way, Tyler’s “your woman”, is not bad, but nothing to compare with yours.

Hey there!
Thank you so much for the album!
I REALLY enjoy it, after having had two listens…
“Whenever I say hello” is JUST as brilliant as I remembered it from your first trip here. Fantastic stuff, and I’ve had it in my head for a year without even hearing it more than once…
Hope all’s well!

Hey Jyoti,
I was in your band! Whilst browsing the interweb I ended up here.. I still have a tea stained White town 7 inch in my collection and very fine it is too. Congrats on making good with the music my good man. I took the devils way out and became a manager!
Take care,
Sean

I think Undressed is one of the most under rated songs of its genre and era. White town really did a great job with it. I am in love with the video, but cant seem to find it. Any ideas?? I gave up looking for it but have become desperate again.

Hey, just found my CD single copy of “Your Woman” tonight when looking through some boxes in the garage. I decided to do some googling and found your site. Just read your biography, very interesting. Thanks and all the best.
