Just to let you know that your woman is one of my very favourite tunes of all time. Im a huge music lover with thousands of CDs in my ample collection, yet I find myself drawn to this track year upon year. Your heartfelt lyrics express a deep dissatifaction that lies in us all. Its total brilliance, for always.

I heard this today on Radio One for the first time in a decade, but I immediately recognised it, the second it started playing, as freshly in my mind as it was back then… great track.

You are brilliant. I heard your song back in ‘97 in my gf’s car. I LOVED it..but never really dug in to see who’s it was. For the last 11 years, I’ve always wondered if I would hear it again and low and behold it was on the radio a few days ago. Well. I checked out your website, your thoughts..and must say that you are very well spoken.

“Your Woman” came out my junior year in high school, and I remember really digging it. I recently re-downloaded it, and it’s been a blast. Not only is it a great song, but it totally brings me back.
Thanks very much for creating something that obviously means a lot to many people, for many reasons.

Hey, I loved ‘Your woman’ and Peek and Poke. Years ago I heard a remix of Your woman, in the middle a robotic voice say ‘lucius’ or something like that. I desperately want to find it. do you know what it is?

Driving home from work yesterday I heard Your Woman on radio 1. Great to hear it’s still being played, and it still sounds brilliant. This is actually the first time I have attempted to get in touch - not sure you’ll remember the girl who couldn’t sing unless the lights were off, and even then nerves and lack of any actual ability got in the way! Anyway, just wanted to say you’re an amazing song writer.

Actually, I also can’t stop listening to Your Woman - and I disagree with you: It should not have been a one-shot. You have proven that you can touch millions of people with your music and make them feel it. Have another go at it, not for your own sake, but for the sake of art/music, for the sake of the people you can reach.

Our wee pub session in gatehouse of fleet scotland, is about to feature ‘your woman.’ mainly cos of the scratchy fiddle, which when the single first appeared, grabbed me and hauled me in. i’ve wanted to cover it for ages and i have only just now got round to sorting it out. if we can replace the synths with wood in an effective way. i’ll record a live take and send it to you (all copyright respected).
Just found Bzangy.com too, think i’ll be spending some time there,

Back in ‘97 just about all the radio stations played ”Your Woman”. Suddenly, they dropped the song when it was thought to violate certain right wing ‘politically correct’ ideas. That’s too bad as it was a great song.
One hit wonder? So friggin’ what?
It was a damn good song!!!

Just thought i’d drop a quick message to say how much I really appreciate ‘your woman’ for its fantastic sound and marxist undertones. How fantastic that so many people loved a song that confused them in a sexual and political way. When it was released I found it quite revolutionary and sexually contoversial - I’m sure it was received as a breath of liberation by many people in a way they didn’t quite understand.
The very fact that such a great sound was made in a spare bedroom, by yourself, adds to it’s romantic appeal and highlights it as a classic for many more reasons than one. And that’s what it is, a true classic
